Dane Saju was identified by FIFA-licensed agent Varghese Jayan, who facilitated his move to Europe and placed him with FK Alfa Modriča U19. This marked the beginning of Dane’s professional pathway in European football.

After completing half a season with the U19 team, Dane earned promotion to the senior squad. He went on to make his debut in the Bosnian Second Tier (Prva Liga) for FK Alfa Modriča, becoming the first Indian footballer in history to play in Bosnia & Herzegovina’s professional leagues.

Following his breakthrough in Europe, Dane signed with Calicut FC, where he played a key role in winning the inaugural Kerala Super League title, adding silverware to his early professional career.

Dane returned to FK Alfa Modriča and became a regular starter in the Druga Liga during the 2023–24 season, starting almost every match from January to May and proving his consistency at senior level in European football.

For the 2024–25 season, Dane signed with NK Brotnjo Čitluk, a former Bosnian champion club, where he competed in the Druga Liga Jug, one of the most competitive regional leagues in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Playing at senior level against experienced professionals, Dane continued his European development, gaining valuable match experience in a physically demanding and tactically disciplined league while adapting to higher competitive standards.

In December 2025, as a product of European development, Dane attended a trial with Sporting Club Delhi. Following his performances, he was offered a contract, but chose to continue his development in Europe, prioritizing long-term growth at a higher competitive level given his young age and ongoing progress in European football.
